I finally have some pics of our doves up. They started making babies sometime around April, I believe, and stopped in August. The pics we got are of the last babies and the last time mom and dad have graced our porch column. 11 babies later.
I have some awesome memories of watching mom and dad feed their kids, and one of them teaching an only child how to fly in a monsoon. That child refused to leave the top of our fence and even pecked at mom several times when she would swoop down and give some nudging. Baby fledgling lived under our pool slide for weeks, refusing to fly much, and tried to go back into the nest that mom and dad had two new eggs in, only to be chased off by a very protective dad. I can hear it now "son, stop trying to mooch off of us. You are old enough now. Go find your own seeds".
Sucks leaving home.

The pics of the Doves were AWESOME, sis! Some of the most beautiful picyuters of nature I've ever seen! Keep up the good work. Amy

Thank you! They were kinda hard to take pictures of as I had to haul the ladder out and everytime I did the mom and dad would fly away. The nest is still up there but, it has been empty since these babies took flight. :(
